TicketSwap Sessions

TicketSwap is a secondary ticketing platform for discovering live events and safely buying and reselling tickets. The impact of COVID-19 on live music events and theatres made it impossible for the company to sell tickets. However, it was an opportunity to focus on brand awareness for when the industry recovers and make connections with artists, organisers, and fans.

As social media manager and senior copywriter, I lead the marketing teamā€™s efforts to create TicketSwap Sessions, a series of live-stream events hosting performances from several artists. Together with the brand designer, we made several promotional assets for social media to advertise the importance of live streams and the live streams we were hosting. The assets were also promoted on the artists and organisersā€™ social media channels. As we held events that included many genres, the idea was to make creatives that were inclusive to everyone.

The campaign was a hit and grew to feature well-known artists such as Oliver Weiter and Joris Voorn, and reached over a million fans throughout the summer lockdown of 2020.

Long-term vision:

  • Enabling fans to browse live stream events is beneficial for brand awareness: be on top of usersā€™ minds for when the industry recovers.

  • This also educates users that TicketSwap is not only a marketplace ā€“ for which most of them are using it ā€“ but also a discovery platform.
